For reference: our own 9-car trucks average $50–60k in linehaul gross per month. A capable in-house dispatcher costs $3,500–5,000+/mo — and doesn't scale to zero when the truck sits.
FAQ
Money questions
How much do truck dispatch services charge?
Across the industry, car hauler dispatch runs roughly 5–10% of gross for booking alone. LOADS: 8% Core, 10% Full Service, 14% Complete (the entire backoffice — books, compliance, AI overview), and 6–7% for fleets of 3+ trucks.
Are there setup fees or contracts?
No setup fee on dispatch tiers and no contract — fees bill weekly, cancel anytime. Core-tier add-ons carry their own setup: Call Tracking $99, Bookkeeping & P&L $599.
When and how do I pay?
Weekly. We send a payment request for the week's dispatch fees, due within 24 hours via Zelle or another approved method — owed on loads dispatched regardless of when brokers pay you, since brokers pay you directly.
Is 10% Full Service worth it over 8% Core?
On a $40k month the difference is $800 — and it buys claims handling that protects your insurance history, call tracking, and review building. Add $1,600 more for Complete and the books, compliance, and AI overview are handled too — less than the standalone bookkeeping add-on plus a part-time admin.
Why percentage of gross instead of a flat weekly fee?
Because a flat fee gets paid whether your truck earns or not. A percentage puts us on your side of the table: slow week, we feel it with you; home time, you owe nothing on it.
